welcome to betrayal! Things have not been going well for awhile now. Nobody knows how this downfall started, or how things got so bad. At first, it was unnoticable. Little things happened, patrols were frequent, and punishments got more severe for breaking rules. Slowly, things escalated. The clans do not talk anymore. Borders are not to be crossed, at the expense of your life. No leader or deputy has security in their position, they can be overthrown, by their clan, or Starclan themselves. We are looking for a way out of these darker days. Will the Council of the Stars find the solution, or is it up to us? In a forest at war, will you survive, or become another victim of changing ways?

early morning sun beams dappled the clearing that the cats of thunder called home. in the distant, song birds chirped their cheery tunes, and welcome dawn upon the forest. from the bowels of his den, the flame tickled tom could hear the steady breathing of his clanmates. his own sleep had been interrupted by a particularly curious finch who screeched right above his den. it was with a heavy heart that he realized a new day had greeted them – his dream was one that he would’ve liked to have held onto for a heartbeats more. the dream was nothing more than a distant memory now, as the fogginess around his brain began to ebb away, and he rose to his large paws. his crown of his head brushed against the covering, and his whiskers twitched in annoyance. with one last look of longing at his warm nest, the brute shouldered his way into the heart of the camp.
chest expanding beneath his pelt of fire, flamestar inhaled the sweet scent of morning. it had rained in the night as some point, but flamestar had been far too lost to the world to have even noticed. but rain meant that the scent markers would be less intense than they were the previous day, and the smaller mammals would be out in search of worms overturned from the depths of their earth dwellings. flicking his ears, he let out a sigh and tried not to stress too much about his clan. there was so much more to being leader than he could have ever imagined, but he was determined beyond anything else to prove that he had what it took to lead the clan to greatness. however, with the unease surrounding all the lake clans, it started to feel like an impossible task with each passing day. his forepaws shuffled against the earth with unease, trying to hide it in his face as the dawn partrol nodded their greetings as they made their way out of the camp.
what am I do starclan? he asked silently as he bent his head down to his chest. his thoughts went to the many different challenges that lay ahead of himself and his clan. as if starclan was answering him, a breeze ruffled his pelt sending shivers down his spine. a brooding look crossed over his face, as he sauntered over to a spot of sunlight, and laid himself in its rays.
